Celebrate the opening of the new Butterfly Garden by discovering our awe-inspiring insect pollinators and the essential ecosystem services they provide for the environment. Wonder at our beautiful native plants and learn how to attract more butterflies and bees, and drive biodiversity in your own backyard.

Planning Your Visit

Paths are both sealed and unsealed and vary from relatively flat to a moderate gradient. Come dressed for a walk in the outdoors. Bookings are essential.

Meet at the entrance to the Arts & Ecology Centre, Maroochy Bushland Botanic Garden.

About this Walk Series

The Welcome to Your Botanic Garden walks are held on the first Saturday of each month. Some dates feature particular garden highlights, such as the Gondwana Garden, Sculpture Garden, Banksias, Australian Bushland, Butterfly Garden and Florals, so be sure to check the full calendar of events.
