Join the Plastic Free Sea Beach Clean Up this Plastic Free July.

The Sunshine Coast is turning the tide on plastic and Visionary Ocean Warriors are leading the charge with The Plastic Free Sea Beach Clean Up this Plastic Free July.

The Plastic Free Sea Beach Clean Up promotes positive impact and change, with participants empowered to clean their local beaches, learn plastic free alternatives, shop eco-friendly small businesses and learn about local volunteer opportunities. Hosted by youth lead volunteer group Visionary Ocean Warriors, you'll find them at Kawana Beach (BA223) on July 6th from 8am to noon.

Supported by Sunshine Coast Council and Tangaroa Blue, local musician Adam James will be performing, Hannah from Yuluwirri Weaving will be running free weaving workshops using recycled plastic, Anna from Kidz Art Sunshine Coast will be sharing her amazing and thought provoking guided art, along with free facepainting and other awesome free activities. It's a morning not to be missed!

It is all happening at Cooper's Lookout south of Kawana Surf Club, and what better way to set the scene with the event's radio media sponsor Elly and Taz from the Sea FM Drive Show jumping in to lend a hand with the clean-up and share the good times.

The BYO-friendly event is free, with registration available on the morning. Gloves and bags will be provided.

Changing the world should come with a killer sound track and good vibes, lets make waves together!
