Did you know a whopping 130,000 tonnes of plastic finds is way into Australian waterways and oceans every year? Replace with local marine debris.

And with a surge in single use plastics due to Covid-19, local environmental groups are concerned about the potential impact of even more plastic pollution on Sunshine Coast marine life.

This Plastic Free July, it’s easy to take action on plastic pollution by participating in one of our local beach clean-ups.

The clean-ups are organised by local young eco warriors who are leading the way in movement for a plastic-free future – Visionary Ocean Warriors and 11-year-old Cam Spooner from Cam Saves the World.
