The sonic discovery explores aquatic ecosystems that cover more than 70% of Earth's surface - drawing on a decade of Leah Barclay’s hydrophone (underwater) recordings. From the smallest micro-crustaceans to the largest marine mammals on the planet, Listening Underwater explores the diverse sonic properties of water to reveal the acoustic ecologies beneath the surface of oceans, lakes and rivers across the planet.
