Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary Bli Bli

Join guides from the Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary on this great bird watching expedition. Over 180 bird species have been identified at the Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary including bush birds, raptors, water birds, pigeons, doves, ground dwellers and night birds.The walk starts from the Information centre to the pontoon on the Maroochy River and return, a total distance of approximately 2 kilometres. It meanders through several distinct ecosystems. Sanctuary volunteers will be available to assist with bird identification as well as answering any other questions that you may have relating to the wetlands.

Walk suitability:
Easy 2km walk, suitable for wheelchairs, prams and wheelie walkers.

What to Bring:
Sunscreen, a hat, suitable walking shoes, binoculars and drinking water.
BYO morning tea and lunch (if you wish to stay for lunch)

Facilities:
Parking is available at the Information Centre, situated at the end of Sports Road, Bli Bli. Toilets are available also. The Information Centre will be open on the day.
